The River Monks’ sound is mostly light-hearted, energetic, free-spirited and youthful, which can be heard on their debut full length release, aptly titled Jovials. They combine intricate yet delicate guitars and sing-along choruses, upbeat tempos and intense buildups, unconventional structures and fierce musical knowledge throughout their songs.
What began as a two and then a three piece Seedlings has now grown (No pun intended) into a six piece collective. A folk-pop band from Des Moines, they take stages with a variety of instruments, as well as well-prepared harmonies. Their recent EP, “For the Sun,” is sure to bring a smile to your face. They want you to have it. Download it here: www.soundcloud.com/seedlings.
Des Moines’ Jacob Tyler Wolfgang has ground out over one hundred solo performances throughout the Midwest, all the while working on his upcoming debut full-length effort entitled “to the moon, kid”. With creative songsmanship and lush arrangements, Wolfgang promises to engage fans of Wilco, Elliott Smith and My Morning Jacket alike.
