June 23, 2012. FIN.
There are few things you need to know, read them here.
- This is the final week of Ankeny Unplugged for 2012 — if you’ve been draggin’ your feet, get to this one! Miss it last week? Think we bailed on it just because of rain? NO WAY! Here’s photographic proof, y’all.
- Our acts this week are: Christopher the Conquered and his Black Gold Brass Band (8pm), Jordan Mayland & The Thermal Detonators (7pm), The New Bodies (6pm), and Patrick Tape Fleming (of The Poison Control Center) (5pm). You want pure entertainment? You got it. Click here to listen to free songs and learn about each of this week’s artists. Have you seen the 2012 promo video? Go get a little taste of Christopher in action.
- New local beers this week! The taps will be pouring 16 ounces of Olde Main (Ames) Stout and Court Avenue Brewery (Des Moines) into your mugs for the same price as a domestic beer. Don’t forget your mug!
- Still just $3 at the gate, kids 12 and under free, or buy an advance ticket and save $$.
- Gate opens at 4pm.
- Art and craft market from 4pm-8pm, new vendors each week! See the full list here.
- Food and drink from 4pm-9pm.
- Merchandise is available to commemorate the season — buttons, t-shirts, limited-edition screen-printed posters, band CDs. You can also buy t-shirts online: asphalt or aqua, and the poster soon. Think of an owl playing a banjo, or a bear playing an accordion. Yep.
- Season pass holders and advance ticket purchasers — just show your ID at the gate.
- Free bicycle valet service every week!
- Have a question? Looky here.
